Hector TamezII has dedicated over 40 years to ministry, fueled by a passionate vision toignite spiritual movements across the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking world andbeyond. As the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking World Director for Finishing theTask (FTT), Hector plays a pivotal role in mobilizing churches, denominations,and believers to fulfill the Great Commission by 2033—the 2000th anniversary ofJesus’ instructions to make disciples of all nations.
Leveraginghis extensive background in digital media production, Hector has beeninstrumental in producing multilingual resources for global ministries,including The Jesus Film Project, Purpose Driven, ALPHA, Open Doors, and theInternational Orality Network (ION). Since 1996, his efforts have equippedbelievers to share the gospel effectively, particularly among oral-preferencelearners, who make up nearly 70% of the world's population.
In 2000,Hector co-founded several organizations with his wife, Rebeca—InternationalLeadership Advancement Ministries (ILAM), ECO Internacional, and VisionInternacional Puebla (VIP)—focusing on engaging unreached and unengaged peoplegroups (UUPGs and UPGs). Through media, live seminars, and online conferences,these initiatives empowered communities to share the gospel and establishself-sustaining ministries within their own cultural contexts.
UnderHector’s leadership, FTT seeks to achieve its four "B" goals inSpanish and Portuguese-speaking regions: providing access to the Bible in everyheart language, equipping believers to share their faith, planting new churchesin underserved areas, and mobilizing breakthrough prayer for billions who haveyet to know Jesus.
Hector isblessed to partner in ministry with his wife, Rebeca, and their threedaughters, Yonane, Ellie, and Azrielle.
